In high school, I found a passion for working with children with communication difficulties after volunteering at a school for the Deaf. I love the idea that communication exists in many forms (sign language, AAC devices, verbal language etc.), and that everyone communicates differently.
This led me to attend Texas Woman’s University to study Speech-Language Pathology in 2015. Following graduation with my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, I worked with children (birth – 18 years old) in home health, and then at an elementary school in Wylie ISD. It was my desire to work one-on-one with children and their parents that led me to Speech & OT of North Texas. I have experience in a variety of areas including articulation, language and fluency disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, AAC, and autism spectrum disorders.
I love making a connection with families and collaborating with them to help their child to be the best communicator they can be. It is truly a team effort and I am so happy to be a part of the many milestones achieved by each child. It is such a privilege getting work with these children and their families.
