I’ve always had a passion for working with children. From being a nanny, volunteering as a Sunday school teacher in a 3-year-old classroom, to taking on a role as a camp counselor in college, my heart’s desire to be surrounded by kids has naturally unfolded.
I attended the University of Iowa and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Science as well as training in American Sign Language. My heart led me down to Texas, where I graduated with my Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University (Sic ‘Em, Bears!). I have gained experience working in a private practice setting with kiddos as young as 16 months up to 12 years of age with a variety of differences including: Autism, intellectual differences, receptive/expressive language delays and disorders, Apraxia, Down Syndrome, and various articulation disorders. I love the opportunity to walk alongside families by meeting them with compassion and positivity while also providing ways to support meaningful interactions with their child. I truly couldn’t imagine working as anything other than a Speech Pathologist!
