My name is Calliope, but I prefer to go by Calli. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas but a majority of my family lives in Greece. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors in Human Health and received my Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Having completed field work in various specialties (spinal cord, inpatient rehab, and outpatient pediatric) I found I enjoy treating and assisting children the most. I have a broad range of experience working with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay. I am certified in Handwriting Without Tears as well as Interactive Metronome. I am also SIPT certified (Sensory Integration and Praxis Test). The SIPT has been invaluable when evaluating and treating children with sensory integration disorders. I have many years of experience in the private practice setting and love working at Speech & Occupational Therapy of North Texas, providing occupational therapy in McKinney and Frisco. I enjoy partnering with my client’ families in treatment to optimize generalization of skills! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my dog, Chewbacca, and volunteering in my community.
